Stacy credits FitWit for allowing her to reach a much higher fitness level. Stacy joined the FitWit team as an assistant trainer at the Grant Park location before taking the role as lead trainer of Decatur FitWit in November 2009. Stacy also works part-time as an attorney at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society. In this role, she provides free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. In addition to running local 5k races, she also has run a few half marathons and, more recently, has been participating in sprint triathlons.
Casey Rush, Head Trainer FitWit Old Fourth Ward
Casey started his sports and fitness journey as soon as he could stand on two feet. Always staying active as a child, he tried every sport he could, from tennis and baseball to soccer and basketball. As a high school athlete, Casey started his varsity playing career early as a freshman soccer player, followed by starting on the football team his sophomore year, and basketball his junior year, earning letters in all three sports. After high school, he joined the Valdosta State Blazers football team, and continued his love for all sports on club and intermural teams at Valdosta State. Upon moving back to Atlanta, Casey started coaching middle school football at Kell High School. After three years of coaching, he decided to combine his passion for fitness with his love for coaching, and began personal training. After six months of training friends and family, Casey decided to follow his heart and get his ACE (American Council on Exercise) certification to become a full-time personal trainer. He gained experience in one-on-one training sessions, and was introduced to group training by leading the Etowah High School basketball team through their summer workouts. After gaining interest in group training, Casey joined the FitWit family in the Spring of 2012. The family atmosphere and competitive environment was a great place for him to call home, and continue spreading his passion for health and fitness.
