I started FitWit in October 2016 – about seven months ago, and it has been life-changing for me. When I started, I was just about 170 lbs, coming back from a difficult pregnancy with mild preeclampsia (all of a sudden) in the last few weeks and recovering from c- surgery, which totally weakened my core. You can see the attached “before” pictures of me.
I was ambivalent about starting a “fitness camp” style workout regimen – I honestly didn’t think I had it in me after the tough pregnancy and with trying to adjust to all the “joys” of having an infant again. I had an LA Fitness membership at the time but found myself wasting time on the treadmill with no results. I’m just not a “machine girl” when it comes to working out. 🙂 I was kind of lost but knew I needed to push myself to get back into shape.
Since starting FitWit, I’m happy to say that I stand here today at 145 lbs – a loss of 25 lbs in seven months! Check out the attached picture my husband took of me today. But more important, I have noticed a major difference in my stamina and endurance. My core strength has returned, and I feel a lot more energetic. But also, I’ve noticed a difference mentally. With the kids and all of their activities plus work, life can get pretty hectic. Having the time to myself each week to let go mentally and just focus on fitness and having fun for an hour has done wonders for me and benefits my family as well. When mommy is happy, the rest of the house is happy. 🙂
I still have work to do – sometimes my busy schedule still creeps in, but this is a lifestyle commitment for me. I’m so happy to continue my FitWit journey, and I’m thrilled with the results I’ve seen so far!
