February Member of the Month – Andrea B.!

A giant kudos to our February Member of the Month–Andrea B.! Her consistency and willingness to challenge herself makes our hearts sing.

Andrea’s currently a member of our online team and regularly attends our morning Zoom workouts. Anyone who watches the replays knows how hard Andrea works because Coach Sarah is always shouting her out during class. Whether it’s by rocking feet elevated push ups or by performing pretty much any strength exercise with the one 35lb kettlebell she has, Andrea serves as an inspiration to the online team as well as the greater FitWit community.
We’re excited to have Andrea back at the gym at some point crushing a 2K on the ERG, but for now, we are so proud of her for her dedication to maintaining her fitness through the online workouts.

When did you first start FitWit-ing?  2016

Tell us about your sports & fitness background:

I really got into sports by playing field hockey in high school – before that I was mostly a bookworm.  After that, I played recreational soccer and learned to enjoy running, working out, and outdoor sports.  These days I enjoy hiking and biking with my kids outside FitWit!

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health, and fitness since starting FitWit?

Like most people I’ve seen huge improvements in my strength and PR’s for everything we test (tested before COVID).  One super fun achievement for me was running faster miles than I did in high school.  Thanks to a few nutrition challenges I’ve also seen awesome changes in my body composition.  I feel strong and healthy!

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like FitWit that was totally unexpected?

Overall joining FitWit has been one of the best choices I’ve ever made (thanks to Alexa O for asking me to try it with her!!).  It has built my confidence and given me the strong mental health to get through some really tough personal times.   I’ve also gained an amazing friend network!

Why do you FitWit?

I love feeling strong, confident, challenged and healthy!  I also love the staff!!

Anything with Mountain climbers or half kneeling shoulder press.

Something cool we don’t know about you?

I lived in Guam for 2 years (the other “G” in the drop down menu) and I was born in North Dakota —- two places most people will never go!

Anything else you’d care to share?

I am so grateful to Josh and the whole FW team for their exceptional creativity, flexibility and perseverance during COVID.  The online workouts have kept me sane and healthy, and I’m grateful to be part of this community!  I’m looking forward to some real high-fives as the world gets back to normal.
