FitWit Decatur Team

General Manager

Josh serves as general manager of FitWit Kirkwood, and he was one of the original founders of FitWit. As a coach, he leans heavily on his track & field background (no big deal, but he still holds the decathlon record for his college), and he loves training mobility, speed and functional strength movements. You won’t see him coaching much anymore, as he spends much of his time growing our gym programs, trying to keep up with his five kids and hanging out with his lovely wife, Erin. Also, go Browns!

Ethan has been a FitWit trainer since 2015.  He is a CFSC (Certified Functional Strength Coach), and holds certifications in ACE-CPT, UCanRow2 Certified Instructor, TRX Group Level I, Oh Baby! Fitness® Pre/Postnatal Instructor. A “gym-rat” since age 19, Ethan turned his love of fitness into a career at age 28 and challenges members to understand the basics of movement and fitness to “earn the positions before adding intensity.” Ethan looks at fitness through the lens that each workout is a grain of sand in the bucket of an active, healthy life and loves to help members make fitness a lifestyle.  When he’s not spending time with his beautiful fiance gardening and cooking, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking and surfing.  Ethan also enjoys photography, watching movies in his movie club, making playlist on Spotify, and keeping up with UGA and the NBA.  In 2020 Ethan transtioned from the Head Coach to launch our Semi-Private Training Program and work with one-on-one clients.

Evening Class Head Coach/FitWIt Kids Manager

Renell joined the FitWit team in 2017 and brings with him a background in tennis and various forms of dance. He started working out with his mom after high school and has come to love weight lifting, hot yoga, ropes and air bike workouts. Renell relates to the kids in FitWit Kids programs by being stern, fun and setting expectations that point in the direction of success, and he carries that into the adult classes. Renell enjoys transcribing text using the phonetic alphabet  and is otherwise asleep or learning lines for an audition. Renell heads up our FitWit Kids program and is the head coach for the evening time slots.

Liz comes to us with a master’s degree in physical therapy and a genuine love for helping members learn to enjoy exercise and find confidence in their physical abilities. She played division I tennis at Boston University and competitive sand volleyball for ten years after that. She genuinely encourages members to find strength they didn’t know they had and will be your biggest cheerleader. When not in the gym (which is rare), Liz loves spending time with her husband, Joey and their two sons at their various sporting events. She enjoys hiking, biking, eating good ice cream and sleeping. She and her husband spent 12 years living in Europe where he played professional basketball. Liz  has ISSA and TRX Group Level I certifications and currently leads the 5 am crew as well as other morning classes.

Ginger is a FitWit member-turned-trainer who isn’t shy about challenging members to challenge themselves (she may be known to slyly supply a heavier kettlebell when sees that you’re ready to safely move up). She grew up doing dance and gymnastics and became an avid runner post-college (she’s currently training for her 29th consecutive Peachtree Road Race!). Outside the gym, Ginger is a private consultant for Rodan+Fields, a very active Gigi to her almost 7-year-old grandaughter and a die-hard Auburn and Saints fan. Ginger trains at our morning classes all week.

Sarah became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer in 2018 and joined the FitWit staff in 2019.

Inside the gym, she enjoys kettlebells, rowing, and TRX. Outside the gym, she’s an avid runner. Intermittently athletic since her middle school sports days, Sarah discovered the joys of a regular fitness routine in her mid-30s when she joined FitWit as a member. As a coach, Sarah likes working with newcomers who are looking to make a change. She encourages campers to enjoy their workouts and have fun in the face of challenge. Sarah has performed improv comedy at venues throughout Atlanta, and she’s cemetery a tour guide. You can find Sarah training mostly in the evening.

Coming to us having served six years in the Navy and having earned an Exercise Science degree from Georgia State, Sean has been a trainer for nine years and loves encouraging members through a variety of workouts to meet their goals. Sean ran track and played both basketball and football before landing on weight training as his favorite workout. When he’s not in the gym you can find Sean shooting videos, taking photographs, recording music and creating funny skits. Sean mainly trains at our evening workouts, Beltline workouts, our Youth Athletic Development sessions and the occasional noon class.

Bridget brings a wealth of energy and experience to the FitWit floor. She attended Emory University where she became a “double Eagle”: graduating with a BA in Human Health and Nutrition Science and then a Master’s in Public Health specializing in Behavioral Science and Health Education. During her time at Emory, Bridget was a leading member of the women’s tennis team and won the National Championship in 2016. After a short stint as a Technical Analyst, she has returned home to her alma mater to serve as the Assistant Coach for the women’s tennis team. Bridget loves sharing her passion for fitness and health and hopes to show everyone how fun it can be to live an active lifestyle. Outside of the gym, Bridget loves coffee, playing sports (most recently golf!), and spending time with her fiance, Wes, and their adorable Golden Retriever, Georgia. Bridget holds CFSC Level One and ACE-CPT certifications and is a staple in our morning crew!
