“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” ~ Buddha.
In a world filled with chaos, constant noise and work and family pressures, many of us feel mentally and physically drained on a regular basis. But there is a healthy way to alleviate these problems, and it can be done in as little as 5 minutes a day thru mindfulness practice.
Mindfulness is becoming more and more popular, due in part to the ability of mindfulness practice to alleviate stress, improve concentration, and increase immune function, just to name a few of the benefits.
Join us for this intro to mindfulness workshop led by Beka Carson where she will introduce mindfulness in a practical way to equip you to deal with day to day stress and anxiety and ground you in the present moment. We will start with a short intro to mindfulness, followed by mindful exercises that you can practice on a daily basis. We will close with a guided meditation. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water and a yoga mat. There will be a few extra mats on a first come first serve basis.
