Our O4W Member of the Month for June (better late than never!) is the lover of burpees herself – Erin C! You may see her around the gym at 7 am or noon or in the evening because, despite a demanding work schedule, she prioritizes her fitness so she’s gonna find a way to get there. Erin is one of the hardest working folks at FitWit and I’m not sure she’s ever met a workout that she didn’t dominate. Her drive and determination are infectious. Her love of burpees, not so much. When did you first start FitWiting? Just over a year ago.
Tell us about your sports & fitness background: I was not the most athletic person growing up and after college, I just sort of let myself go. It was in the last 6 years or so that I made fitness a priority.
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting FitWit? I haven’t really tracked weight loss/gain or muscle mass. I try not to focus on those things too much, but I have seen an improvement in strength, specifically depth and weight with squats. I also think my stamina has increased.
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like FitWit that were totally unexpected? I used to be really strict about what I ate during the week and then would totally binge on the weekends. Now I have a more relaxed approach overall, but don’t find myself binge eating and often opting for a healthier option on a Friday or Saturday night. This has not only improved me physically, but also mentally.
Why do you FitWit? I love workouts where each day is a different challenge and I love sharing that challenge with others. It motivates and pushes me to do better.
Favorite workouts? Weirdly, I like burpees.
Least favorite workouts? Rowing, wall balls and jump rope. Although I have seen an improvement in my jump roping abilities and don’t hate that as much as I used to! I don’t think I will ever enjoy rowing. I would much rather run.
Three words to describe you: This is what comes to mind initially….Driven, adventurous, perceptive.
Any favorite FitWit moments? Every time after I finish a really challenging workout!
Fitness Goals? Right now I am trying to maintain how I look physically, but would like to continue to get stronger and improve both my upper and lower body strength.

Something cool we don’t know about you? My love of travel started when I lived in Paris, France as a child. Ever since then I have made traveling a priority and have tried to visit as many countries around the world as I can.
