Here are two upper body strength exercises we love! The Landmine press and The Incline Bench Row.

Coach Ethan on programming these for his one on one client:

“These two options allow us to train in pain free ranges of motion, challenge the load, and decrease any mobility restrictions being the limiting factor.”

A sweet six station switch (say that 3 times fast 😜) for today’s interval training! Sleds, planks, ergs, ladders, TRX fallouts, oh my! Great work today, Team!

Yesterday we celebrated FitWit’s one and only Mike O! Mike likes to bike… a lot. We mixed his active hobby outside of FW with some of his favorite moves inside FW. It was a great hit, and a pleasure to have him workout @5:15 with the PM crew! Thanks for the wonderful workout!

Watch the video for brief instructions and read the words for more information from Dr. Andrew Huberman.

“There are countless triggers for stress but only a few basic mechanisms for reducing it. Osteoporosis And The Importance Of Strength Training

As we age, a progressive loss in our bone density is almost a certainty. Losses in bone density mean a breakdown of the trabecular structure that gives our bones their strength and stiffness.

After the age of 30, the average person can expect to see a decline in bone mineral density at a rate of .2%- .5% per year. Women face a more unfortunate reality, with their bone loss accelerating 50% faster than men once they hit menopause.

Starting to lift weights with heavy progressive loads from a young age and continuing to do so throughout our entire life is the most effective thing we can do to improve and maintain our bone density.

Don’t be afraid to continually add load to your lifts in the gym. The key to impacting your bone density is giving it a powerful enough stimulus to warrant a response. If we’re not progressively increasing the weight we lift, our bone density is likely getting worse, not better.
