May Member of the Month (O4W) – Josh M

Our May Member of the Month is Josh M! If you haven’t yet met him at a social or other FitWit event, you’ve almost certainly seen his mug from a Saturday workout because the camera loves him. If you haven’t had the pleasure of crossing paths with him yet, just hop in with the evening crew sometime and you’ll find Josh is always friendly and welcoming to a new face. Even though Josh is a rock star athlete in his own right, he wears his athleticism quietly and prefers to be on the sidelines supporting and cheering on his fellow FitWitters. Without further ado, here is Josh!

When did you first start FitWiting? January 2017

Tell us about your sports & fitness background: Mr. Universe competitions, but before that wrestled in high school. Is ping pong a sport?

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting FitWit? I had just come off a year long workout hiatus after a knee injury/surgery. During that year I was making a lot of suboptimal health choices. Since FitWit I have returned and surpassed many areas of my preinjury fitness, especially from a cardiovascular standpoint. Still hate wall balls though!

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like FitWit that were totally unexpected? The incredibly great people I have met and developed relationships with over the year. Even though I may dread coming in for the workout, I look forward to seeing the familiar faces.

Why do you FitWit? The variety of workouts, amazing coaches and fellow FitWitters. Location is pretty great too.

Favorite workouts? Combos of strength followed by HIIT

Least favorite workouts? Wall Balls for sure.

Three words to describe you: Stacy here. Josh left this one blank so I’ll take the liberty of describing him in three words: warm, modest, and sincere.

Any favorite FitWit moments? Although I didn’t participate, it was fun rooting on everyone during the FitWit Games.

Fitness Goals? Increased mobility and overall balanced strength. Injury prevention.

Words to live by (Favorite Quote)? Oh, hi there. Stacy again. If there is a quote about disliking wall balls as much as you dislike talking about yourself, I’m pretty sure he’d be a fan of that quote. 😉

Something cool we don’t know about you? Hi. Stacy here again filling in for Josh. A couple of tidbits I’ve learned about Josh: As far as beer preferences, if it’s cold and available, he’ll drink it. Josh can sprint door to door from his house to FitWit in less than 60 sec.
