Double extra supersized high-fives and applause for our O4W Member of the Month, Jesse C! We are bestowing the honor on Jesse a little later than usual so we can gush about him for being our Member of the Month AND for being one of our 2019 Rookies of the Year. Unfortunately, Jesse wasn’t able to join us at the end of the year party to receive his award there so we’ll settle for celebrating him here.
One of the characteristics that all our Members of the Month demonstrate is consistency. These folks are in the gym more than the average FitWitter. Jesse is no different. Like I said at the party last Friday, if you attend the evening class with any regularity and you have eyes, you have noticed Jesse’s transformation since he joined us just over a year ago. It didn’t just happen overnight. Jesse has experienced success because he shows up day after day, gives full effort, listens to his coaches and seeks to improve his movement, and seeks guidance and information from his coaches about what he should be doing outside of class to reach his specific goals. In a nutshell, he just does all the right things! It’s that simple 😉 And, when you do all the right things at FitWit, we throw awards at you and you end up happier, fitter, and healthier. When did you first start FitWiting? September 2018
Tell us about your sports & fitness background: ZERO! Honestly hadn’t worked out much at all prior to starting at FitWit.
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting FitWit? During my first class at FitWit I unexpectedly/surprisingly found that I couldn’t even do a push-up or sit-up…let alone a series of burpees and trying to jump rope was so awkward! One year later I feel like I’ve physically changed so much. I’m down 20+ lbs, have put on muscle, and feel so much healthier!
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like FitWit that were totally unexpected? The drive to actually WANT to work out, get fit, and enjoy it! I even get that guilty feeling when I can’t make it to class as planned.
Why do you FitWit? To get healthy and feel better in general. I really enjoy everyone at the gym and the feeling of community. We are all there to get through it together and support each other!
Favorite workouts? Strength day and most kettlebell workouts
Least favorite workouts? Pretty much any time we have to run.
Three words to describe you: Quiet, caring, determined.
Any favorite FitWit moments? The end of every class when everyone is completely worn out but smiling because we made it through and gave it our best!
Fitness Goals? Pullups, be able to run longer distances, heavier bells, and make it to a morning class.

Something cool we don’t know about you? I have traveled to 40+ countries, but didn’t have a passport until 2011
