When did you first start FitWitting? August 2012
Tell us about your sports & fitness background: Grew up playing outside and running around. Started gymnastics when I was young and competed through high school
What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting FitWit? Before joining FitWit I ran several days a week with friends, but I only felt like I was in good shape from a cardio perspective. After joining FitWit, I feel like my whole body is in better shape. My plank time has improved. I no longer have grandma arms. I had my first bone density test the other day and the doctor said everything looks great. I owe it all to FitWit. Overall, I feel great.
What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like FitWit that were totally unexpected? I have made lifelong friends. I have met folks I would never have had the opportunity to meet.
Why do you FitWit? I enjoy working out, but more important I like the accountability and the social interaction.
Favorite workouts? Burpees
Least favorite workouts? Air bike and wall balls
Three words to describe you: According to my husband – persistent, hardworking, and energetic
Any favorite FitWit moments? Honestly, too many to name.
Fitness Goals? To be able to keep up with my children and grandchildren (should I ever have any).
Words to live by (Favorite Quote)? We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing – George Bernard Shaw.
Something cool we don’t know about you? I spent a Semester at Sea my first semester junior year of college and I did a program called Volunteers for Israel where you volunteer for the Israeli army.
Anything else you’d care to share? I am very thankful for the FitWit community.
